Picked up a '75 CL360 the other day...

I wanted to mention it earlier but if you want to extend your pipes, you can try what I did. I bought 1 of those cheap EMGO shorty mufflers and cut it in half. Ended up making some larger baffles and put them in each half of the muffler canisters.

Spent about $25 and have 2 decent little mufflers now.

Photos of your EMGO chop? Sounds interesting, tho i think i'll end up keeping them short with the copper baffle mod (which i knew was internal ;) ) and modding the guard to fit the new set and look. Will also be wrapping the pipes once the bike is closer to completion.

I figure i'll take a string and measure each, cut them to be as close to even as possible and go from there. it's logical to me that this would give best performance.

I'm also trying to find a cheap pair of rear sets to throw in the passenger peg mounting holes... so many damn sportbike "2 hole" ones out there and realllly don't want to spend the money on the nice single mount ones. So if any one's getting rid of a set, PM me a price/photo and we'll discuss.

Right, so i was in the garage last night looking at the 2-1 exhaust. Got the great idea of saying eff it with the short pipes for now, i'll throw on the 2-1.

Get everything off, remove center stand... and guess friggin what.

Guy used 1 3/8" tubing for the headers instead of the stock 1 1/4" So i don't have a way to attach the headers to the topcase.

the exhaust flange that's welded on is the same size, so that's atleast good, i just need a set of 1 3/8" split shims to get 'er bolted up.

Either i'm failing at Google/fleabay or i can't find a 1 3/8" shim to order. Do any of you have a set i could buy or care to help a kid find the right part?
