Picked up a new toy!

Got this bad boy for only $250 with a clean title. It's a 1979 Suzuki GS 425. It needed a battery and the previous owner said the old battery wouldn't keep a charge and his headlight was blown out. Turns out all it needed was to be grounded properly. New tires, all new fluids, carbs cleaned, cables lubed and it started up just fine. only 6800 miles and runs like a champ. It is missing one side cover and the other looks to be homemade but I will be ditching them anyway. Plans are rear sets (which i have been pricing out---pretty expensive), clubmans (which I have), 2-1 exhaust (from Mac most likely), custom seat and pan (from Dime City, I really love the "Brass" setup with brown leather), and a nice paint scheme. I prefer not to chop the rear of the frame so it can be turned back to stock easily enough, but I will have to lay it all out to see. In my opinion it also needs smaller levers and a smaller front brake reservoir, so I will see what I can find. Anyway, a couple pics:

Since it is starting to get cold here in New York I will probably start tearing it down a bit in the next month or so. If anyone nearby wants to give me a hand I will surely take it!

Decided to throw on some clubman bars last night. Wires do not pass through my bars so it was an easy job. Just had to drill two small holes for the metal clips for the ignition and turn signal housings to seat in. Totally changed the look of the bike and it isn't even that uncomfortable to ride without rear sets.
