Pics of exposed external springs anyone?

Little back story, my parts bike had internal springs, so I attempted to install, but slowly found out a fork was slightly bent. In my attempt, I also broke the upper tree. So back to my external springs it is(70 cb350). So now I can either drop $100 on a new set-up or, do exposed springs, or put the covers on (which for some reason I don't like much). I'm also considering just putting boots over the springs, I don't have stock headlight brackets installed anymore either...if that gives a better idea.
So let's see what you have!

I personally like the look of exposed springs. One thing to be wary of is moisture corroding the springs, or fork tubes. I had a CB125 with exposed springs, and as the forks were bare steel, they needed a regular coating of WD40 to stop rust developing.

Both the springs and fork tubes are chromed on mine. So, rust isnt too much of a concern for me. However grime does collect down in the seal area of fork upper. Thus, they do require flushing them out every now and again w WD-40 or equivalent. Helps to detour premature seal wear and tear.

Both are great looking bikes!
I really dig the old school army look of treks bike! I was thinking of doing a similar vibe on mine. Where did you get that small fender?

Thanks bud,
The rear is a 74 cb360 front. The front is 1969 CL350, I chopped down myself.

The first front I cut too short. It just looked a little silly to me. I ran it for a while, but I never did grow to like it.

So it was off to ebay for another...the one I have now is approx 3 inches longer. and in my opinion looks alot better. Now that I have the Avons I might see about lowering it a touch to fit the new tire a little more snug.

I REALLY like this bike. But not the biggest fan of the clubman bars. Its just Im gettin old and tired...I need customizable comfort.

Thanks man,
It was my first build.
I never liked the clubmans much either.

No doubt they are both really good looking bikes.
I like clubmans, but I do not specifically care for their height. Seems like with they bar clamps it ruins the streamlining.
