Those are great but I am not sure I want to reuse the seat pan.

Anyone else use flat sheetmetal?

I'm still working on mine and don't have a whole lot of pics but I started with sheet metal and an old tank.

Its 18 gauge steel that we bent down the sides and rounded up the back. I've still got some bondo work and upholstery to do but it went together pretty easily.

I used a flat piece of sheet metal and molded my fiberglass on that. You could easily weld on a back half of a gas tank.
