Piston Pitting - Good to go or replace?

Hey guys,

Long time reader, first time posting.

I'm taking apart my 77 CB550 and I've noticed some pitting on the top surfaces of my pistons after cleaning them, apologies for the picture being upside-down.

Being aluminum, I'm wondering if these are ok to re-use or if I should just replace them right now? Would love to hear your advice, recommendations,

Thanks in advance,

Paul

no worries there
do the service checks that you find in the factory service manual if you don't have the maual stop and do no more anything until you get it and basically memorize and perform the service checks

as XB implied, check the piston size and have the bore size checked for taper and out of round . . check cam chain guides and rollers and repair as necessary.

use good oil

use good oil

use good oil...
