Pod Filters and gas mileage

how much do pods affect your gas mileage? I'm under the impression it can lower your mpg in half? I really want to put them on for asthetic purposes, but my bike is also my daily driver, so i do have to be somewhat practical {wow, did i just say i need to be somewhat practical, geez i guess I am growing up a little.}.

there are many things to think about before you dive into pod filters...

carb jetting, milage, looks, quailty of air filtration, will they hang up on your choke cable?, and probably some stuff im leaving out. This topic has been disscused many times before on almost every forum. I'm not trying to talk you out of it just make sure your ready to mess with some stuff.

Thanks man...think I'm gonna stay with my airbox for the moment....honestly, my bike is running so damm well, i dont want to mess with it too bad......its more of an asthetics thing
