Yep and he made a sweet custom glass fender, mounted to the factory brace and then added the extra. That should keep the front end from flexing much at all.

Cheers

I was always planning on adding a fork brace but replacing the steel fender with my fibreglass one just moved it up the list a little :) I dont think the stock fender added much resistance to the forks twisting but since I want to be able to get the most out of the CX and am trying to add some 'Racer' to the 'Cafe' it was an easy decision to add the brace. Just putting the front wheel between my knees and heaving on the bars shows how much these old bikes with skinny forks can really benefit from a bit of extra strength.

Cheers
Steve

Thank god for ebay's 'make offer'. People are awfully proud of these (from a '94 YZF600R - the newer shocks with the reservoir look to go regularly for $25-$35).

Sweet patch my nephew got me.

$6 for the test, $25 for the license. I'm going to go hang it up over all the motorcycles in my garage that don't run.

Rich normally people try to hide that stuff so your not asked to do work for free!

Ha ha thanks guys, its the M1911-A1 FS and it is an awesome gun man! I have shot several kimber, sig, springfield, etc. 1911's and although the feel on them were similar with their own differences in the grips you really cannot beat the bang for the buck on this gun (pun intended). I paid $550 out the door including tax. I have probably put 300 or so rounds through it already and not one FTE or misfeed, plus it is pretty accurate as well. Really recommend this gun for anyone looking into a 1911 on a budget.

Check out sierraguns.com that's where I picked it up from, they are only about an hour north of me, and they have had great customer service anytime I have dealt with them.

I just picked up a brand new Hankison HPR5-10 compressed air cooler/dryer for my paint booth. It's a $850 unit that I got from an equipment liquidator for $200. I've been wanting one forever, and was about to pull the trigger on the Harbor Freight unit and I saw this and just got lucky. All that's left now is my dripless AC/heater/dehumidifier and I will feel like I'm a certified wannabe pro! This'll go very well with my new DevilBiss guns. The good life.

Capt, I don't know if you've read up on those, but keep in mind when you install them: they require a lot of pressure to stay tight. The single Allen bolt that adjusts the angles of the bars can handle the force, believe me.
