Post a pic of your latest purchase

Got some old new parts for the kids in the shed... snagged a pair of Honda head gaskets for a steal, and an old NOS DID timing chain, The brake parts for the GT550...

Got the greenhouse framed up for the wife to stain before adding squirrel mesh so I'm good for a month on honey dues

Add valve shim adjustment to the list

Oh for sure, that's a give in!

Tomorrow(today, 2AM here!) we are getting a proactive purchase out of the way to move forward with the Civic. Might as well prepare while parts are being shipped. Will post pics after those purchases are made!

Also to note, dads 2011 Honda Pilot was involved in a car accident. While I'm East Columbus, a woman made a left in front of my dad and it was too late for him to avoid her safely. He locked up his brakes and still couldn't avoid her.

She had no license and no insurance. She also had 6 children in the car and none of which had car seats or restraints. Everyone was fine but my dads airbag did deploy. Thank God none of those innocent children were hurt, or worse yet, died.

Could you imagine that on your hands?
All for someone who isn't even supposed to even exist on the road and there children could suffer, just as they have from birth. The state needs to do something about the license/insurance, issue. As for the other issue, I have no hints to help that situation.

BOTTOM LINE: Not just my girlfriend without a vehicle, my dad as well. It'll be a week or 2 before I can focus on the Ninja. Even though another form of transportation would be helpful...

Drey, my step-son in a Sergeant in the OSHP and he tells me that it's not surprising at all when they pull over someone or report to a crash scene and find unlicensed/uninsured drivers. When I lived in New York state you had to provide DMV w/ a copy of your insurance card to get your registration or renewal. I believe the insurance companies were required to notify the state if you cnx or are expired, too, but I'm sure that makes the insurance rates higher.

TN passed new insurance code to remove license plates and tow the car if found to have no insurance... we'll see if it's enforced and how fast impound lots fill up.

HF 20 Ton Shop Press.

We bought a new poly-urethane suspension bushing set for my girlfriends 95' Civic EX and instead of paying to have them pressed, she bought me this to do it.

Told me to consider it payment for all my labor :)

That is the way to do it. Invest in the tool instead of paying someone almost as much to do it for you. That will come in handy for years to come.

CB tank and tray showed up, things are gonna get going again finally 8)

This breather / catch tank arrived today, surprised how good it is considering how cheap it was. Aimed at the car market, so the mounts it came with wont be any use, which I knew when I bought it. Will make something to mount it to a frame down tube.

I use the same type of catch can as the oil tank for my GT750. Looks and functions well, had a little oil seepage out of the lower part of the plastic tube. A little RTV fixed it right up. ;)

Nice! Looks better than my homemade one

Where did you get it from?

Via Amazon, was posted from Germany, cost £24 ...just searched for 'oil catch tanks' and quite a few popped up. Here's one I made a couple of years ago for my road bike, machined from a solid piece of billet. Used a stack of discs inside to help separate the oil from the air, got the idea from a air compressor. Went a bit over the top with it, as it turned out way to heavy..

Just arrived...finally! Ordered it back in December. I plan to put a few miles on it as is; then think about what mods are called for.
