Post a pic of your latest purchase

I ordered this stuff on Friday from Economy Cycle (EOD), it was shipped after noon on Monday, and I got it tonight when I got back from work. Crazy fast shipping. Pretty awesome.

Can't wait til I'm back on the road with all this stuff.

Included:

- yboot w/ KN filter
- Brass swing arm bushings
- Exhaust gaskets
- Chain tension bolts (I broke one tightening my chain... plus it doesn't look like the right ones were on there anyways)
- An extra set of contact points (One of my points is a little bent, and I'm just preparing to replace it)

Looks like a nice haul - don't forget to check our friends at Dime City Cycles for your parts needs :)

I got myself a fairly rare single-spigot XS650 breather today. You hardly ever see them - think it was a 1 year thing. Neater than having 2 hoses, or capping one of the spigots to run a single hose. I'll run a check valve on it most likely, or finally install the fancy DWMS Racing catch can setup :) (might put it on my SR500 though).

These are the two styles:

For better breathing you then modify the single spigot version:

I realise that's not terribly exciting... but I believe if I'm sourcing fuel, vacuum, and breather hoses that I'm at the right end of my build... ;D

Sorry the pic is sideways, but I got the rear Kenda tire for the GR. Here it is next to an Avon for comparison:

Also got inner tubes, rim strips, and steering stem bearings for the CB125.

Here's my latest purchase... a sand blasting bench top cabinet i picked up in local classifieds for $140.. been used once...! These things cost $300+ here.. so I'm happy :)
I'm too lazy to take a photo so here's a generic one LOL... exact same model though:

@ biker reject... following on from our watch convo the other day.. here's my 58mm Swiss Aviator chronograph:

Hey whadayaknow! The $25 6fiddy has one of those single output breathers. Thanks for the article about improving it too, I'll add that to the file for this bike!

That should be the goods Rich! So jealous I *still* can't find anyone locally who can sell me anything other than universal block tyres...

On the topic of tires..

I've said they put form WAY ahead of function before, but I couldn't resist a deal on 2 4x19 Firestone Champion tires. They're tough to get up here for any reasonable price with shipping etc. so when a pair came up I grabbed them cheap. Normally they go for $150 each + shipping, so a good $350 for a pair. I got them for $150 cash all in :D

As it happens, I'm running 19" rims front and rear on my SR500 project, which currently has Shinko 705 dual sport tires on it. If the bike turns into a more svelte street bike vs. a more aggressive curb hopper, these may go on it instead. The SR is my for fun bike - the XS will always be about performance (hence the ported head, phased crank)

Mate.. that's a steal! Good purchase ;) 19" rims on the SR? Did you just have 19" rims laced to the hubs.... or running wheels from anouther sled? If you did indeed lace rims to the hubs, would you please mind telling me which rims you used along with the spoke kits too please? I'm doing an old SR185 Exciter... I would love to lace a 19" to my front hub... as I'm currently running a 120-80R16 White wall metzeller on rear... a 19" front front look sweet. There's a 21" Honda Ilsinore front wheel on it at present... but it was a rigid bobber.. and I'm converting it into a cafe racer soon...

These wheels are a real hodge-podge.

I bought a set of vintage flat track racing wheels. Spool quick-change hubs the works. Turned out the front hub was cracked.

But I wanted to use the old 19" racing rims, which were 40 spoke. So I got a pair of front CB750 hubs to use, front and rear. The rear has had adapters/spacers made up to carry a custom sprocket and an FZR1000 320mm brake rotor (same 80mm / 6 bolt mounting pattern). Spokes are custom from Buchanan's. Just call them up, tell them the rim / hub combination and they'll make the spokes to fit.

Cheers mate.. appreciated ;)

A Title is a certificate of ownership and in a lot of states you're pretty screwed if you don't have one because you can't get it legal for road use.

These things are that much now? I grabbed a couple from DCC a little over a year ago for $112 each. Never used them though, they are waiting for the next bike to come along!

Ah so what the point in buying a bike with no title? Is there a way around it?

In some states there are some ways around it (lost title search, apply for a new one, etc)but but some states are real bankers on the subject. Sometimes a bike with no title is only good as a parts bike even if it runs perfectly...

In some states you can get around it. Here in Mississippi, we can get bonded titles. Not exactly sure of the details but it can take 6 months or more. So if it's a barn find, you would usually be working on it during that time anyway.
