Nice blast cab. I have been considering getting one and doing a little blasting myself. What did that thing run ya?

It was regularly 400, on sale for 200. Plus I had a 75 dollar gift card so a whole 125 bucks :)

Bow season opened here 9 days ago. I exclusively hunt with a bow. I will probably start going sometime around first or second week of October.
I don't buy steak. I just eat venison. I used my last package about a month ago, so I need to refill the freezer this year. I will probably shoot a doe this year early for that reason. After that i will only be chasing the buck I hit high last year. Unfinished business

I fly fish for a challenge. I shoot a .300 Win-mag to eat.

.300 win mag......That's a beer can full of powder with a BB on top! Don't go shooting anything under 200 lbs with that....there will be nothing left!

Na, a beer can with a BB, is the .30-378 Westherby. That sucker will send a 180gr bullet downrange in a hurry.

I don't know anyone that hunts this way. In SE Michigan you can't use rifles anyway so it's shotgun, muzzleloader or handgun for me. the last deer I shot with a rifle was up north and with my grandfathers lever action Winchester. The last deer I shot in SE Mich was with a bow from 10 yards, up close and personal. We're not all like your description Brad. All that stuff will not gaurantee you a deer. Have you ever deer hunted? You sound like you hug trees!

so i sound like a tree hugger to a complete stranger a? well lets see i own an pile of big 2 strokes and litter all the time.As soon as our country started down the road to outlawing what ever the fuck kind of army gun all the hip kids felt the need to build ar's. and they are willing to buy sub standard junk receivers just to have a # to beat the outlawed date. Like i said i think gun nuts are a joke. watching grown men pushing shopping karts filled with ammo. Because "the govment ant gonna take MY guns".
Then i hear the same kinda guy at work talking about 22 shells going up in price 8 times over. no shit i wonder why. the bottom line is the bullit factory didnt stop or slow down making ammo. the gun nuts created there own problem. like i said i have nothing aginst hunters, or guns as a tool. But correct me if im wrong ,if your so inclined you can buy a ticket to hunt whatever
animal on a feinced in plot of ground where there batted to be on a open spot. what is the point, is there a thrill in shooting a ram tied to a pole? I kinda think the odds are stacked on a hunters side, modern tech and chemistry is on the side of the guy with a gun.

We have hunted as a family for generations and the game farms that you are describing are something that gets me fired up unlike most other things. It absolutely drives me nuts seeing guys on tv or in mags bragging about their 400 class elk or 200 point mule deer when they just paid 10 grand for a hunt to go shoot what is basically someone's pet. Our cattle that are scattered out on a few thousand acres would be more of a challenge. This really isn't the thread for this crap so I'm sorry for just continuing down the rabbit trail.

I just bought one of these. The last one went off with a mighty bang that sent me running to avoid a stray spring bouncing around the room. Horay for an aircompressor as old as my bikes...

Is this still the purchase thread?

To get us back on topic and for those of you not following my build thread on my kz650, I bought this Kerker exhaust brand new #127-60650 and it is very very nice. ;D ;D ;D

Also picked up this Gunson colortune kit from across the pond for tuning in the air fuel mixture when custom jetting. I read some good things about it and figured I'd give it a shot and see if it makes things easier. I'm going to try it on the kz650 first most likely and it has an accelerator pump so it will complicate things a little but we'll see. I will post results much later when I get to that point. :-\
