Early 72 looking at those barrels and frame, but with later disk front end. Or 73 disk brake model with early barrels retrofitted

Chunk missing from the crankcase from broken chain and fitted with a CR750 shaped tank. Alloy rims, TT100/K81 tyres and later model radiator. Interesting bike and a long way from stock, so no one should complain if you cut it up and modify it.

It is a 72, with a later front end. There is another cover that bolts up where that one looks like it's broken. I have the original parts to it, minus the 4LS front end.

But, it's still getting cut up a bit.

That tank still has gas from the 70's in it. :-\

It's never been tagged.

I hardly think so, Tim.

That thing has some significant miles on it, with a very low mile Speedometer that is either a replacement, not working, or was not connected for several years.

- OR -

Was only raced...

Still, cool old bike and nice chambers (short, fat stubs = built for mid-range torque, I believe).

Very scientific, doesn't specify different tuning with different stingers http://www.dragonfly75.com/motorbike/ECtheory.html

I know it was never tagged. I got it directly from the guy who purchased it as the dealer. He owned the dealership. I've got all the original paperwork on it, mso, etc.

7fitty Dyna died, so I got a new one. Nice little redesign...

I've heard both sides of the dynatek story and it's made me wonder. I seriously looked at the half-dyna for my twin. I haven't had one fail personally but I've only run two. Deviants' unit is a new gen, I'll remain hopefully optimistic.

funny every time I tell this forum dynatek sucks people always ask why. seen so much dyna in the trash it's ridiculous
I used to rag on Boyer ignitions on the old Britbikes, but the reason so many of them failed was because they were the only EI you could find to fit o Britbike for 20 years or so. Tri-Spark used to be the (expensive) "holy grail" of Brit EIs, but over time as they've had higher numbers seeing higher miles, they are starting to show up on the failure charts in percentages approaching Boyers.

Personally, I've had great success with Sparx (even though others have had failures).

They're all great / they all suck.

I may have bought a Dyna unnecessarily. They have a test procedure which suggested a failed unit, however the secondary windings on the coil also tested bad. I tested the primary. The Accel coils and the Dyna came with the pile of parts that this bike was built from. I have no idea to it's history. When a new set of coils gets here, I'll judge then. I should've done more research. I was so focused on the Dyna, that I overlooked testing the secondary windings.
