Keep the Dirty Side down
that ol sled is cool i just got rid of a 72 polaris colt 295 still ran was in alright shape i love those old steel tracks
McBrenner said:Yeah man these old sleds are brutes... They sure take one heck of a beating being that they are full steel tunnel/frame. My front end in the engine bay took some massive hits over the years. Pulled out some huge dents. The tunnel was all torqued and twisted, so took a fair bit of heat and graceful love taps with the hammers to make it good to go. I have another sled exactly like the one above, twin sled essentially, not sure if I'm going to restore it or go mod-resto and upgrade the suspension and engine quite a bit. I sure do really like the look of the '71 Tx with the engine out of the hood... check out www.vintagesleds.com if you want to see a lot of cool old sleds, a lot of restos going on

And I greatly appreciate the compliment!
Roland757 said:Alright here it goes, and I'm ready for the peanut gallery to comment on the structure of the project as they did with the anvil stand.
Not a hobby for me either.
