Yes Paul Brodie is a very cool guy.
I first met Paul at a Road Race at Mission many years ago. He was running his vintage 350 I think at that time. I was the President of the Westwood Motorcycle Racing Club at that point and I had lobbied hard to get the Vintage guys involved. In fact our first test at the track to see if it was usable had "The Tom Mallor" (mentioned in Paul's Race Reports on the site posted) put in some laps faster than the modern guys present. Now in the years that followed I got a chance to know Paul better but my biggest regret is not spending time away from the track with him. Several times I was invited by him to his legendary parties but I had to pass due to work and club responsibilities. Imagine my surprise when one day a fellow racer mentioned Paul's other love. Mountain Bikes. Yes, he is that Paul Brodie. Brodie Mountain Bikes. He is one of the guys that started the craze we all see today. Funny that he never talks about it at the track. He is a racer, builder and all round great guy.
