nice work! any chance you could post a pic showing how your front indicators are mounted?

Here are a few pictures of the front signal mounts:

Nice bike I also like the Ducati and the Daytona in the back there. I have a Speed Triple and a KZ Cafe bike, I am just a hour away over in Terre Haute.

The actual upholstery was done by Kents Upholstery here in Indianapolis (317) 788-9096. Great people and at a very reasonable price.

Thanks a lot Brad,

So you prety much made an overlay out of aluminum that you bolt on to the seat from the bottom, rigth? take it to the upholsterer and have him upholter just the overlay piece you made and bolt it down from the bottom? So it's a removable piece? Reason i ask is because that's what I'm looking for, except I will make my overlay out of fiberglass probably.

Eddie, Yes. The seat pan bolts directly up from underneath. The only hardware holding the entire tail section to the bike is three bolts which screw up underneath, through a bracket welded to the frame to the seat pan. There are pics in the link to my signature that should give you a better clue. The seat pan itself was taken to my upholsterer who padded and installed along with a carpeted section at the front/bottom/rear where it would touch a painted surface.

Awsome, thanks so much. I would have never thought of the carpeted part to protect the paint on the tank and the tail section. I just thought it was part of the cool design. And your upholsterer came up witrh the design by himself? man those are some nice stiches :)

DAMN! Those are some nice pics of a gorgeous bike. Can we use one of them for a banner for the site? Gotta ask ;)

Thanks. Yes. It's a Benelli Mojave tank. Below are pics of mods I did to bolt to the frame:

A small piece of plate was welded between the frame rails to mount the rear of the tank. Note the Benelli is a few inches longer than the stocker.

Let me know if you need any additional info.

Question was asked earlier...It's rather small at 2.2 gal. The tunnel is rather large underneath.

Whoopes, Sorry! I was looking at the photos so much I mised that part. ;D

Thanks

Originally, I set it up with two petcocks 'Y'd together, then I had an issue with one where it no longer would open/close. I had a brake banjo bolt laying around that had the correct thread pitch which made a great plug.

The tank badges are Honda stock items found on a few of their new bikes. Check out the '09>CBR1000RR. This badge fit the recess in the Mojave tank perfectly. I have another tank in the garage that will go on the next project when I get the frame done. It's another 350F, but it will have a 400F power plant. Can't wait to get it done.

Looks great Brad! I got a chance to see it at Rocker's Reunion back in May.

Also, thanks for recommending Kent's for my seat. I picked it up yesterday and it looks amazing. Great price and Kevin is great to work with.

Sure she looks good in a photo shoot, but does she look like that when she rolls out of bed in the morning? ;D

Ha! Yep. She's still lookin fine for a 36 year old broad. Took her out for a ride last Friday for breakfast. Brought her back home to trade bikes before going off to the Indy MotoGP. What a freakin blast all weekend long!

I have a 350 frame that's getting some minor mods done and soon I'll be building up another similar bike with a rebuilt 400F motor already to go. Stay tuned.
