Hey how's it going, I jsut bought a couple new coils for my 71 cl450. I was wondering how to wire them. I have the diagram in front of me but I dont know what to connect to the positive and what to connect to the negative poles of each.

Have you tried contacting dcc?

Correct me if I'm wrong but white/black is power, ground is trough the spark plugs and the other (Yellow or Blue) is the trigger.

When the yellow or blue cable cuts (Using the breaker) power runs trough the coil and is looking for a ground and finds it in the spark plugs.

I'm I in the right direction?

One pole of the coil goes to the blue or yellow wire, and the other pole goes to the black/white wire.
Doesn't matter which.

There should be a marking on one or both posts. Maybe on the black plastic... A - and a +. + connects to black/white wire from ignition switch. - goes to points.
The fat wire in the middle goes to the plugs.

If not marked at all, call or write DCC. They should help you out without any issue at all...They are very pleasant to deal with.
