problems with starting

ok, So i just got my engine put back together after rebuilding the top half. I replaced the piston rings, and all the gasketrs that are required to put it back together. I timed it, the motor turns over all day, but will not start. I know im getting fuel cause since my motor wont start it is spilling all over the ground from the carbs, and when i stick my hand on the carb air inlet it is sucking good. I am getting spark but its not a big fat blue spark, more of a small red spark. Would this keep my engine from turning? If so, would this mean both solonoids are bad? Dont know where to go from wheere i stand. Any input would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks ALL

I said solonoid, i think i was meaning the coil pack? the friggin thing that the spark plug wires are connected to ;D

check your frame grounds... if there's a bad connection to the frame it could act as a resistor and limit the current going to the coils

my coil grounds are good, i sanded those spots down and the ground for my battery. When i hit my starter it spins the crankshaft, but it doesnt sound right. It almost sounds like the starter is spinning but not grabbing anything. I have the points cover off , so i can see that the crank is spinning though. I dont have a clue why it wont turn over. if i have spark, is it possible that my carb isnt putting the fuel air mix into the cyl.? I just cleaned the carbs aswell. Im completly baffled :-\
