Project Gretta.

Mad Science!
DTT BOTM WINNER
Well, you know her well, and I finally can consider her complete. She started as a non running wreck of a bike that I bought for a few pennies and set out to build the cafe of my dreams. I feel like I succeeded.

I really appreciate all of your thoughts, wishes, encouragement, and bashes. If it weren't for teh DTT crew, Gretta would have never become what she has. I feel like this bike belongs to us all, because you guys had a hand in making her become what she is. To all of you out there who know who you are, I owe you my gratitude.

So here, without further adieu, is Gretta. Filmed in front of Barber's Motorsports Museum. She's hanging with legends here.

Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.

Re: 1974 CB360J. Project Gretta.

Man I have been waiting for this day! I am sure you are very excited yourself and you should be! You did an outstanding job. Every part of Gretta is truly great; from your choice of machine, design, work, craftsmanship, ingenuity, and determination, you have built one of the most beautiful bikes I have ever seen. I am not just saying that, I mean it! Gretta is a true functional art piece and a practical motorcycle. I have seen many bikes, both pro built and home built, but Gretta really takes the cake! Congratulations on her completion and on your achievement.

I would like to also thank you for the inspiration you have given me and for being a great member to the DTT family. People like you, who put heart & soul, spill their blood, and spend countless hours working and designing, make the backbone of this site. Also people with your skills who are willing to share knowledge and take criticism complete what DTT is all about. I am proud to call you my comrade and fellow DTT Dirty Southerner! I look forward to many more of your builds!

Congratulations again brother!
You sir, are the current reigning chief of:

Well said Twisted!!

I Love her, I Love her, I Love her! Makes my heart race (I kid you not!) I know that I'm going to wear this page out going back for one last look, over and over and over again ;D

Troy, brother, from day one on DTT, you've been family man. You know that. And you also know that I could have never done this thing without you. My deepest gratitude my friend.

There she sits. A goddess at the gates of Valhalla. I got a bit choked up. She's amazing man. You should be very proud. Very proud. What you have wrought with your hands is more than the sum total of her parts. She's art in motion. You don't buy that. You fucking build it. You know what went in to her. You carry it with you everywhere you go with her. She's a poem. She's a sonnet. She's Grace encapsulated. I have been continually amazed by her since I spotted her thread. She's the reason that I wrench embodied into steel and aluminum and blood and sweat and tears.

Whiskey built and hellbound. Do The Ton forever and ever. Amen.

Congratulations brother.
Alex

Alex, thank you brother. The words that you guys are speaking are more than I could have imagined. Man, I am so glad that you guys love her as much as I do. I enjoyed every minute of building her, and to be honest, even the frustrating parts. You guys are all true brothers in grease and passion, and you can't buy that either. It just is. It exists between people. You guys fucking get it. That amazes me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart brother.

You are welcome Kiley. I wish I could take some credit but brother you did it all. You are the one to bring Gretta to life.
We have been anticipating this day for so long. I'm so happy for you. Gretta is nothing short of spectacular. Blows my mind how she turned out. One of my favorite bikes of all time and you did it. Congratulations!

Edit:
I just read what Alex wrote and that is everything I feel. Both you and Brandon pretty much summed it up very well. So I think it might be safe to say that many of us pretty much feel that way??

This is for you Kiley:

Thanks Go! Thanks Busa and Orlando! You guys rock!

Troy, that quote is incredible. You sir, are a true friend. I am so exalted that you guys love her as much as you do. You are all so great. Such an honor to be amongst such great friends and family!

Holy fuck man, you are a wordsmith indeed! This is some great vocabulary, ordered in brilliance! I think we should have this on a plaque somewhere as the DTT Dirty South creed! I did edit it a bit so it would not be only about Kiley's great bike, Gretta. I hope you don't mind. This did sort of hit a soft spot with me! Furthermore, if we remove the Whiskey Built and Hellbound, I say it could be the overall DTT creed!

I don't want to flood Gretta's spotlight here with this notion, so if you agree, please come to a post in loungin and lets discuss! I am creating the lounging post now!

SOMEONE GET ME A TOWEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL! That's great! She's currently looking for a sexy girlfriend on the pages here! sexy bikes have to be lesbians so that they can fulfill more than one of our fantasies. This has been discussed.

LOL! Funny you mention that Leon, here is a true story.

As I parked her on the sidewalk and waited for my wife to pull up with the paddock stand, people who were walking around started congregating around Gretta and taking pictures. The employees from inside then started coming outside. The security guards came up to me and said "Man, this thing belongs in there, not here! That looks better than some of the bikes on display!"

They then proceeded to take pictures. The museum curator (I assume) came outside and introduced herself and started chatting with me. She asked my permission to take a professional picture of Gretta and add it and a bit of info to a "patron book" that they're working on. I of course agreed! It really made my day that the staff of such a world class museum loved Greta so much. It was really cool!
