so i started my cb250n superdream project out as a cafe racer first, but the other night, after getting a few beers in me, i got a crazy idea. i grabbed the angle grinder and started cutting. looks badass as a bob!
today, i took the cg125 tank i have and started to narrow it. biggest gaps i've ever had to weld (on the bottom side, so it's not visible) but nothing a few pieces of filler material cant fix. i got it about half way done but i ran out of gas, so that's it for today!
the filler neck cut out
about a half inch out of the rear and none out of the front, just angled to meat the rear
ALMOST all cut up... the middle section will be cut and sectioned once the rest of it is welded up so i can gauge how much to take out to make it fit best
held together.... looks good to me i popped that dent out before i started welding back together
i tacked the halves together so i could get an idea of fit... i like it, overall, but i think i'll pick the front up a bit. that piece of aluminum resting against the front wheel is what i'm going to make the seat out of. just a simply shaped seat. the fender also needs to be widened by like a half inch, so i'll do that, grind the chrome off and let it rust (i'm doing the same to the tank and the battery box) i also am thinking about stretching the swingarm about 2 inches. any thoughts/ideas?
