if you can provide me with a bed to sleep on ill be happy to work for you! ;D ;D

Re: project: overboard

well, worked all day today getting orders done, and fit some time in to finish up this exhaust, didn't have to do much other than fit a coupler for the rear to front section, and stick on the "muffler" along with welding on a bracket to hold things in place

Re: project: overboard

Absolutely amazing work, as usual. I can really see this bad-ass bike in my mind based on your concept. Top dollar says the actual finished product will be 10x as amazing.

I crave more details about the aesthetics. Polish, sandblast, patina? I'd like to see it looking like it just won a dog fight. Cannot wait to see where you go with this.

Re: project: overboard

man when you get that sucker done you got to let me know what jets you toss in there!

Re: project: overboard

oh man. Exhausts like this...So nice.

Really flowy. Take pictures from further back from a front angled view & side profile. Needa see the whole pic.

beauty!

well, I'm toying with the idea of calling this bike the Spitfire, interesting that you mentioned dogfight... but that name kinda lead me into a few ideas, namely a brushed finish on all the alloy, and I was thinking of doing a Normandy "racing stripe" in polished finish, so it would have the 3 bands running down the seat and tank off to one side. still up in the air about a lot of it, shop's a lot busier than I thought it would be this winter, so I've gotta catch up on some stuff before I can really sink a lot of time into this one... or maybe I'll just move a couch into the shop haha

Re: project: overboard

Couch, bed, kitchen, whatever it takes. You can't throw a thread like this one out there and say stay tuned... Tease.

As far as spitfire goes, I'd print the dog tags. I think that's dead on .

got the tank how I like it... we're going to stick with a brush finish on the alloy for this bike, got the seat shape mocked up, I'm waiting on some input before I start beating metal, but I think it will be a keeper....

also, whilst working on the tank I for some reason wanted to add hatches to it, like you'd see on old fighter planes, and probably new ones too, so I built one in with a compartment that holds a coil, one for the other side too... I think it gives the tank a real cool look

Awesome stuff...now you just gotta hazard mark the coil covers with 'No Step Area'. ;D

Tank and pipes are so dope.....each post it looks as if your skills are improving...keep at it dude!

Really amazing work. I love watching stuff being made by hand look so good. Coil covers are a great touch.

not sure about the headlight, think it might be too big, but I want to get the speedo in there... the finished one will be aluminum

I think I like the fender, it looks airplane-ish, but not sure if it goes too far or takes away from the bike... thoughts?

The fender's perfectly flat bottom is kinda distracting. Might give it a slight curve to fit with the rest of the lines. The shape of the light is great but, you're right might be a little big. 20% reduction and mini speedo? Mini clocks look more aeronautical IMO.

Beautiful work as always. Gonna be a classy build for sure.

i like the fender with the flat part cuz it matches the tank.....id probably cut holes in it that follow the fender lines to make it look less bulky though

First of all this is a first rate build. Very talented, and artistic, love it all. Are you gonna mount the gauges in headlight? There is a stock front fender that flares out around the forks a bit..... I'm thinkin' a katana fender.... Might flow with the lines? Just ideas.....

Don't view my ideas as criticism in any way..... This is a beautiful bike. Stick to your instincts, they have served you well thus far.

cut the bucket and bring the headlight in a lil' not to big as it is long looking, but it kicks ass tho. the fender looks cool.
