some, not all. I know the disc forks dont have the external springs, not sure about later model drum forks.

TY Joe and Boom, its good to know. I've been wanting to run something like this on my KZ, but didn't know where to start... I'll have to look into that more now... ;)

Keep up the good work, like so many of the people here at DTT, you have done quite a bit to inspire me!

only a few things to finish up, then we'll ride it a bit, work out bugs, then sandblast and powdercoat the frame and done!
by far the coolest bike I've done so far, it's going to be hard topping it

So nice. Im working on working on getting some skills like you. Haha just starting out, but stuff like this really inspires me to get good. Top drawer

How many hrs in this monster so far Sean? Looking extremely slick. Love all the curves and subtle surface contrast. Now shake out the bugs and get to the final 'make pretty'. I want glamor shots!

In case you guys are interested, here are some pictures of the bike when i got it.
I got it from a guy who took off the rear shocks, an replaced them with a couple chunks of iron to "hard tail" the bike, removed the stock rear tire, placed a front tire on the rim and then at some point crashed it ( bent fork tubes, front rim, cracked frame) or as Sean so elegantly put it "had a chance encounter with inertia". the only redeeming quality was that there was, as the old man who i bought it from put it, " nothing wrong with the god dammed engine!".

at least a couple hundred, I didn't pay much attention to the clock, it was more a project just to go for it and see what I could come up with, glamour shots to come, we're looking for some locations and photographers for it

I'm without speech. I'm new on the site and just saw this. Excellent work.

So glad i subsribed to this thread - great, unique work. Can't wait to see it all polished up.

no polishing this one, raw finish, polish is becoming too cliche if you ask me

"polish" meaning, "sandblast and powdercoat the frame and done"

More of a "can't wait 'til you wrap this one up. "Put the final polish on 'er." Figurative i guess, not literal.

ahhh gotcha, the owner is touching up the bits of the frame that I welded with some rustoleum, we're getting some nice pics done this weekend, after that, he can get the frame powdercoated etc, on his own time, should look good enough for pictures

I really dig those handle bars! Any chance those will be for sale in the store?

I've gotta figure out how to make them adaptable to different bikes, but I am planning on standardizing some of the parts on this bike for sale
