Project Tesoro: cb360 Brat build

4" might have looked a little better, but these are still awesome for sure. it does look nice how they are all tucked in, and not so much "showing off" type look the longer ones might have given off.

I was thinking along the same lines as you, 4" would have looked a little too showy.

The mesh is pretty course so i've ordered some Uni pod foam, going to cut it and hide it under the gold mesh filter for added piece of mind

Solid work being done here. I like the 3" velocity stacks, it's a balanced look. Now you have me rethinking my K&N cones... anyway singed up for the rest of the ride. 8)

It's been a while! Finally back from my world tour (Spain, Singapore, Thailand and Brazil) and can order parts since I'll be home to bring them inside :)

Blinkers, brake switch, master cylinder, universal left hand switch, headlight bulb, motogadget M-Lock, seals, spark plug wire, condenser, fuel lines, spark plugs, fuel filters are here and got everything else to finish the bike on the way.

Time to put in some wrench time, its good to be home :)

Stuff :D

Take that mesh out and definitely don't stick foam down there. It's gonna screw with your air flow.

If you're going to run a filter on stacks, it needs to go on the bell end.

Something like this:

or this:

Nope. Nothing goes in the stack after the bellmouth or you lose most or all the performance of the stack.

A stack provides a performance benefit because it smooths the incoming air and forces it to flow in a uniform (spiral) direction. Think of your bath tub when you pull the plug and get a whirl pool. That's what's happening to the air in a stack. You fuck up the whole process if you stick something in there. :p

Interesting, so even the mesh that came with the velocity stacks is bad news?

Yessir. It's turns your performance part into a pretty accessory and may give you headaches when it comes time to tune the carbs.

Ideally, stacks are just run without filters at all (even putting filters onto the end there will be some loss of functionality).

Tail light and blinkers mounted, although the brake light isnt very bright at all, might have to swap it out (took the idea from CRD)

Test fitting the new master cylinder, happy with the look and was pretty cheap

Just got my custom brake cable in the mail from Slingshot cycles, really nice guy to deal with but the brake line is too short :/ I tried routing it several different ways with no luck.

Hey Finnigan! I am using the same taillight but replaced the bulb with LEDS. I don't love the way LEDS look in "vintage" bikes but it is much brighter now!
I'll add a pic...

Hey Juan

Nice set up! I was thinking of trying something similar, I ordered a few spare bulbs and LEDs to try and make it work

Those red wheels are killer!

Thanks man! I'll sell her though. Looking for something a bit bigger.
I want to see yours finished!

Figured a way to hang front blinkers from the handlebars

Instruments are black now :)
