Question about running turn signals without battery

Can I do it? I picked up a 1981 Suzuki ds125 at a swap this weekend and it runs awesome but I want to try and make it street legal. It has a taillight and headlight but no turn signals or battery. Can I add turn signals without adding a battery? I'm new to all this wiring stuff so please be gentle if this is a dumb question!

Probably. Especially if you go LED.

Thanks sonreir! I guess I'll give it a try. I know I'll need flasher relays for the led but should I specifically search for 6v relays? Or will 12 v ones work?

If your system is 6V, you'll definitely want a 6V one.

The one we sell on our website works with 6V or 12V and can handle LEDs or incandescent (or a combination of the two if you're so inclined).

Usually just one. You run it, inline, on the wire that goes to the turn signal switch.
