Can someone tell me where to pick up vacuum on Vm 32 carbs? These are new right and left 32s from DCC and I picked up the EMGO Vacuum gauges. The bike is a 76kz400 and there is no vacuum port on the intake rubbers. Just putting this bike back together and waiting for the tins from paint but I have run it with a make shift fuel tank. It runs very good on the stand but I still want to check the sink before I drive it for real. Here is what the set up looks like...
Three options:
1. Get a set of intake rubbers that are pre-drilled
2. Drill and tap the head just in front of the aforementioned manifolds
3. Just do it mechanically. Make sure the slides open at exactly the same time. Use two identical drill bits under the slides and watch as you open the throttle slightly.
Did you use the search function to see what jets anyone else ended up using with those large bore carbs? IIRC they don't work well out of the box.
If we are talking about the slides opening at the same time then Im right on. I guess im wondering then about the idle screws. I guess i should just bottom them out and count the turns evenly. Funny that they didnt mention that I reaaly wouldnt need the sinks with these carb when I purchased them. haha, oh well I work on bikes all the time and they will come in handy eventualy.
