quick question on table syncing carbs

Hey guys,

I got a quick question in regards to table syncing carbs..


When using the 1/8 drill bit technique, which side do you gap from...engine or intake?

Also, how far down should the idle screw be when doing this?

Never heard of the 1/8 deal. I table sync mine with the wire from a bread tie. On the intake side. But mine are 4 barrel CV carbs, so yours may vary.

Sync at engine side. Back out idle all the way. Once gap is set turn in idle stop to point where it just touches. Should only be done if compression is within 10% across the board. Works better with large paper clip.
