R6 - R1 Fork Tube/Triple Specs

I may be barking up the wrong tree here, but I'm looking for some info on fork leg diameters and triple tree specs. I really don't want to join a R6 or R1 forum just ask one questions and hours of searching has yielded mixed results. I THINK that R1 tubes are 50mm which could work, but I don't know about the distance between them which need to match for my wheel setup to work.

Here is what I need:
- 2006 R6 or R1 Fork (upper) tube diameters (lower and upper triple would be ideal if they are different)
- Space between fork tubes (at triple tree) - top and bottom

Here's the why...

I scored a complete 2006 Ninja 626 front end for a steal of a price that I want to mount to my XS850 project. However, out of ALL the triple tree's and stems out there, this is one of the only years/models that All Balls does not sell a bearing conversion kit for. The top of the stock Ninja stem is too wide for a bearing to fit within the frame.

My plan was to mount the stock stem inside the Ninja triple clamps but I am running into some issues with stem length. Wondering if there is by ANY chance another triple tree that would mount up to the XS850 frame, but would work with the Ninja fork legs and wheel. I know the Yamaha R6 and R1 triple tree WILL mount to the frame, but will they work with the fork leg, wheel, brake setup that I have?

Here are the ninja fork leg specs:

Leg Diameter:
Top Triple Clamp: 50mm
Bottom Triple Clamp: 51 - 52mm

Distance between legs:
Top Triple Clamp: 6.25"
Bottom Triple Clamp: 5 5/6"

I realize these are pretty specific dimension and my chances are slim, but it never hurts to ask!

Hey man, I bought a set of forks from what I'm told was a 2005 R6. They didn't come with an upper triple but I know the upper tube diameter is 50mm. I can measure the spacing for you this evening. Another thing to consider as I am finding is the distance between the neck and the fork tubes. The R1 is shorter making its upper triple incompatible with my setup. I can give you that dimension too. Hopefully this will help a bit.

It might be easier to mount your existing Yamaha stem into the Ninja trees. This may well require pressing in a shim to allow the thinner Yamaha stem to fit the Kawasaki triples.

Almost any late model matched pair of upper and lower will work, but you still have the stem issue. Simplest solution is get a new stem machined with a suitable top nut. And that just physically fits the parts. Next step is to determine the geometry which will probably be very different to stock
