Here it goes; Yesterday I got my new fork seals for the 450. Since the weather here in sweden has been crazy hot the last few days, I thought that today would be a perfect day to do some wrenching and replace the seals and maybe even go for a quick spin around the block.
I WAS WRONG.
Instead of sunshine, today has been all rain. But what the hell, I figured I could get the seals replaced anyway, the ride would just have to wait until the sun popped back out.
So since I have no garage I did what any man would do;

Yep, that's right, super-huge-awesome-umbrella!


Worked like a charm, dismantled the entire front end in no time, then went inside and got my new seals, took a quick read on the box and it says 35x48x11! THE BASTARDS SENT ME THE WRONG SEALS! Needless to say, I got pretty bummed and ran inside to email the company and tell them to send the right ones as soon as possible (35x46x11) and guess what? They don't have them, and apparently they are almost impossible to find in this stupid country!
So of to tha internetz I go. After roughly 2 hours of searching I finally find a swedish place who has them, and you know what? They only take phone orders, and I don't even have a phone at the moment.
I must have mailed atleast 20 different online stores to ask if they can get a hold of the correct seals, so hopefully I'll get them, or atleast a push in the right direction, from one of them. Otherwise I might have to bite the bullet and get some shipped from overseas, even though I can't really afford it.
I kinda feel like I should never have gotten out of bed this morning :


Gah, that felt good. Have been holding all that frustration in all day, feels great to vent my anger a bit ;D
Btw, I was supposed to take a shitload of pics of my lady today, but I didn't really feel like it with this shitty weather and all.
I'll get some pics when (If?) the summer returns from behind the black clouds :

Hello my Swedish friend. Do you have a gmail account? If not, establish a GMail account and then you can establish a google voice where you can make a phone call through your computer. (as long as you have speakers and a microphone of course). I have had to use this a few times due to my celluar being shut down and when I lost my phone in the house. LOL Check it out. I haven't really done that much to her, not that I really needed to do anything, the Cb450's are great looking even in stock form!


I cut the fenders a bit (rusted to shit in the tips), mounted clubmans, smaller turn signals and led tail light, threw the seat together from the stock pan, foam and an old leather jacket. Then I "found" (more like searched all over the house : ) some old leopard print fabric in an old box and just had to get it on the seat. I'm pretty pleased with it so far and think she'll stay like this for a while until I figure out where I really wanna go with her.


I'm just hunting for the correct oilseals and then it's time to hit the local café 8)
