Haha, I wish man....just the stock ignition. I wanted to get one for it during the build up, but all the other crap I just had to have won out. . The bike came with a box of extra parts though, which includes some new points etc, so I'm gonna build a dial gauge and learn to set my timing.
Re: RD350 project straight outta Long Beach *new fender mounted*
Been making some slow but steady progress.
Biggest thing is that she runs! Not only that, she runs good. I did have a problem the first time I had fired it up as it would die after about 2 minutes of running. Ended up tearing the petcock open to find it clogged with crap. Replaced all the seals and flush the tank real good.
My front brake has been giving me headaches, but I think I have it handled now. I ordered a 1 piece braided line for an RD400, as well as a new master cylinder. Before that I had noticed that I couldn't snug the axle bolt up without the caliper binding on the rotor. Well, it looks like the caliper was fouled with old nasty brake fluid which was not letting the piston retract all the way. Finally got to a compressor and popped the pistons out. Waiting on new seals so I can rebuild and hopefully everything will pressure up okay.
Got the wiring all squared away, and somehow managed to cram all the wires into the bucket.
New taillight too. Similar to Tim's, but mine has the indicators built in. Small and simple, which is exactly what I wanted.
Now I'm just waiting on my new seat foam and cover from vietnam.
Looks awesome! Can't wait to see the new seat on there. I have been having a hell of a time getting my new front brakes bled...i have never really had trouble bleeding in the past...but since I rebuilt my caliper, installed a braided line, and new master...I am having no luck even getting the pistons to move or any pressure at the lever. Hope yours goes better.

Update time...she's all done. The seat took forever to get here from Vietnam, but it looks pretty good and feels great. The tail is an all in one job: brake, tail, blinkers and plate. Pretty damn bright. Ended up replacing the master cylinder and rebuilding the front caliper....brakes work great now. I was able to put 25 miles on it the night I finished it, but at the end had some problems. Pretty sure the petcock is clogged again and starving the carbs. I cleaned it really good once, but there was a lot of old gummed gas in the crossover tube nipples, so some more may have came loose. No biggie as I haven't had time to ride it anyways. What I do knows is this thing is fast. 1st through 3rd and it feels like it's trying to buck me off. :headbang:
Wow looks awesome! Glad everything is working (mostly). Yep, the rd is pretty quick right?! Only question is whats up with the bubbles in the seat? Did the seat come pre-assembled or was it just a cover?

It's just a cover and the foam. It was pre-glued to the foam in the curved sections, and that is one of them. I think once it's been out in the sun and I've put some miles on it, it should smooth out a bit.
