All of the finishes look great, however there is too many color combinations going on. Either the tank/fender color needs to be changed, or the orange on the engine need to be changed, that's just my opinion. I would either go with a black tank with stripes matching the engine color... or.... who knows.
IDK depends on the graphic. I dont think white...maybe black and gold, in order to try to tie the whole thing together. you have got alot of colors going on there to work with already. so not white.
I just got the tank badge I designed back from the printer its a vinyl so I gotta wet sand tank down, respray, stick vinyl and re-clear. This time Im gonna try UV protection gloss, wet sand and then a different Rustoleum clear Matte than the stuff I used last time. hope new matte is tougher than the stuff I have on tank now.

Thanks gents!
I just thought of soemthing, I'd better check that the kicker clears the pipe.
Yeah trek97 I like the matte look of this paint. When you take in the sun it really sparkles too. It's got a lot of flake in it. So do you think the tank graphic should be in white or semi gloss black?
OK weekend update...I received the LED tail light I ordered and mounted it and built a short harness to wire it. The mounting holes lined up with the original holes in the fender so I didn't need to drill it.
I also finished connecting the ignition system wiring to the coils and put some MSD terminals and boots on the coil ends of the plug wires.
Installed the throttle and clutch cables after freeing them up.
Today I'll pick up some fuel line and the throttle tube I ordered from the Honda shop. I installed the tank and put some fuel in and it's leak free except for the valve, I have some new seals coming for that.
So it's alsmost ready to light her up.
Oh and I did decide to repaint the tins once I get the bike sorted.

Weekend update:
Seat cover installed, gauges installed with new rubber, built a mounting tab for the pipe and finished welding it up, clutch cable, levers polished and funky white gran turismo grips installed, fuel valve cleaned and new seals installed and fuel hose installed.
My bro finished the red urethane upper shock bushings.
Left to do: Install front brake cable and linkage, front fender and head light. Adjust carburetors.

Okay I got the color changed today. I painted the tins the same color as the engine so it will look much better now. I'll get it all put together this weekend and post some glam shots soon. Things to do are put a muffler in the pipe and weld a foot on the kickstand. I checked the ignition timing today and found it off some so I adjusted it and it should run even better now. I'll post a flyby video of the bike running at full chat when it get it fully sorted.
Thanks, yes I got it matched up. Yes I will put the side covers on, but I painted them with a white base coat and then shot some of this engine metallic and it crinkled up - it's not compatible or it wasn't dry completely. I need to sand the covers again and start over with the paint on them.

These arrived today: I scored a new set of12-1204B Progressive shocks for $75 on ebay! One of the plastic covers was broken so the seller had them listed as a blem. I would leave the covers off anyway. Ordered a set of Progressive springs 75/120's for $60 off amazon. Also scored this fork brace for $10!

That paint is awesome, what type of set up are you using for painting? I assume you have a booth and stuff. Honda twins run so much better properly timed, don't they?
