Rear Sets on a CB400T

Has anyone mounted a set of rear sets on their cb400t? Which ones did you use? And how did you do it?

I'd like to put a new rear set on to this frame but the stock exhaust bracket is the same as the peg mount.... I was thinking about taking a uni-set from Moto-Bits, DCC, or Loaded Gun, but I dont know if I can mount it straight to the frame until I buy them. I'd also like to kick them back further to create a more aggressive riding position, but I'll have to create a custom mounting bracket and/or exhaust bracket to do so. And I guess if I'm gonna do all this I might as well have a new 2 to 1 exhaust system built to clean this this up and give it a lil pep. And we havent even mentioned the linkage rods or off-set yet.

Damn..... so much for these things being inexpensive.

My father adapted rear-sets from parts for a 2001 era Suzuki Bandit 1200. The pegs are not from the Bandit. I do not know where they came from; possibly aftermarket. But the rest of the assembly is 100% Suzi Bandit.

He mounted them where the (smaller steel) passenger peg bracket mounts to the larger bracket. The factory pegs are removed.

My father got the idea while looking the Bandit I rode at the time some years back. He did all the work.

I have not ridden the Hawk a lot, but I can tell you the controls work. He has also cut the seat and flipped the aftermarket 'drag' bars upside down. The ergonomics are actually pretty good. And the controls work well. There is even a healthy level of adjustment in the gear shift mechanism.

My biggest complaint is the rear-sets is the kick-start had to go. It interferes with the right side peg.
