Rear sets on a CX500

Im not sure if anyone here is familiar with the cx500 but the gear shift lever moves left and right instead of up and down (and from under the bike instead of on the side) like most bikes, because of this it is tougher to put rear sets on the bike, however not impossible. I have seen a couple cx500's on the internet that have rear sets and was wondering if anyone here has made them. If so would you be willing to share your techniques with a fellow owner. thanks in advance for any advice posted. This is a great forum and I have already learned alot from browsing around.

not exactly rear sets, but an easy out is to simply switch sides with the pegs. it'll bring you back about 2 inches. regardless, you're left to figure out what to do with your gear shift and brake pedal. if you're not familiar, you could take a look over at choppercharles. a few guys have done rear sets for cafes on that site. but you'll have to do some digging. oh, and the search function doesn't work so you've have to type

into google to look for rear sets.
