I'm sure that helped him ;D About the only thing I know about cb350s is that about every 3rd person on this board has one. Are the shocks eyelet to eyelet or eyelet to clevis? If they're the former, you might try www.mikesxs.com They've got a lot of stuff on there.
The eye to clevis mounts on the old Hondas limit shock choices. Try Progressive. Or you can get a welder to convert the bottom mount to an eye though I haven't seen anyone do this.
I think he actually brazed a bolt to the frame. CB400t's have clevis to clevis, which makes it even HARDer to find replacements. So he converted his clevis to an eye on the frame, I'm in the middle of doing that myself.
For some reason I thought he had a cm, not a cb. ericngsta, are you planning to move the top shock mount to lower the back end or keep it close to the stock location?
Can't argue with WeeTodd good ones do cost $$$. I just took my apart (to paint) and found out one is shot. I have a set of 11 inch EMGO, but I have not heard anything good about them except the price. Maybe a clevis to eye mod is the best to keep price on shocks down.
