rearset and kickstart interference

i'd like to get a tarrozi rearset but would like to keep the kickstart lever. is the kickstart lever going to get in the way of the rearset pegs? how about the folding tarozzi rearset pegs?

What bike is it and where are you mounting the rearset?
I use to mount rearsets onto where my passener pegs were and I never had any problems with clearance on my cb450's, cb550 and cb750

It just all depends on where you are going to mount it...

oh shoot. its a 1973 cb350 twin and i plan to bolt the rearset on the rear peg mount. (i knew i forgot something)

If you want more clearance, use a 360 kicker. It has more angle away from the bike. Or you can try to heat and bend the kicker.

I have the same bike and expect the same problem as soon as I get back to Michigan and pick up my engine from getting rebuilt. I think that the SL kickstart has a bit of an angle and hopefully (crossing my fingers) it will clear. If not, I plan to heat and bend the kickstarter until it does as I am eliminating the electric start.

How is the ride on the bits when the rear sets are all the way back on the passenger pegs? I don't like the idea of my balls between all my body weight and the bike.

you sit on your balls??

well, this may be a moot point since i plan to keep the starter but i like the idea of having the kickstart just in case...

so the bottom cross bar that holds the pegs are taken off and should not be a problem, right?

so how do you make the rear brake switch work with rearsets such as the tarozzi?

You're on your own with brake switch location. That's when the resourcefulness of the DIYer kicks in.

Did you ever get this kick starter issue taken care of? I just got my engine back in and my kick starter hits the brake lever. I did, however, figure out how to get the brake light switch to work. I'll post pics later.

not yet

on a different note, i have a clearance issue. the toe portion of the tarozzi rearset interferes with the muffler of my cb350 bike when it is mounted on the rear passenger's foot peg bracket, as some has suggested in bolting on. i have the alum universal rearset that did not come with a bracket. do i have to get a spacer or a mount plate to move the foot peg away from the bike/muffler to get clearance and if so, which one?
