Coast to Coast
Hi. Here's the 3 options I have for my rearset on cb450. What do you think would be the best one. Do you have any other idea\advice?

Thanks

The last one looks like your toes might drag if you're shifting around a hard left corner.

There was some kind of 'formula' that i heard of back in the day that was something like:

"draw a straight line from your hands to your toes passing through your crotch"

Something like that.

The best advice is probably to put them where they're most comfortable. I'm 6'1" on a cb500 and there was some custom fabbing' that had to go on to get the best position.

Nice lookin 450! Like scotch said, its what feels most comfortable to you. By looking at ur pics, it looks like #1 would be the way to go. Are you guna weld brackets to the frame? I keep toying with the idea of rearsets on my CB450, but im comfortable riding it as is right now.

Ok the thing is if I want to use the riser and rise the muffler like it is on the right side of my bike, I have to use almost the highest point... I would like to keep them as they look killer ;).

Which ever one feels most comfortable and offers the most control to you. Who cares how they look or what others think?

Thanks :)

I might weld a bracket but I think I'll start with the current footpeg bracket.

Your pegs should be vertically in line with you balls so the centre core of your torso is supported.
Picture 2 is the closest. But could drop down vertically a couple of inches to reduce the flexion in your knee, hip and ankle.

First one looks good to me, #3 is definitely too far to the rear.

I've always found it hard to decide on ergonomics in the workshop,
but a 1 hour ride should tell you what works or not.
So if you fix the footpegs to some bracket bolted not welded to
the frame it'll be easier to modify if it doesn't fit at first trial.

Best regards

get ur seat upholstered first. this will actually change your riding positition considerably. do that, then decide where your rear-sets will go.
