Rechroming Service?

I have a spare set of CB360 headers that I am interested in getting rechromed. 80% of the surface has a mirror shine, but the other 20% is pitted and rusty. Do you guys have any recommendations for chroming service? How much does this usually go for. If it is more than $300 I am definitely not interested.

i have used a place in woodstock in the past, but now they do nto seem to take anyting else in, they have done some frenders and bumpers off old cars for me... i would say it wouldbe 300+
i can get smaller stuff done pretty cheap through a local guy though but not headers
why not have me powder them in high temp?

I've seen some PC that looks like chrome, is that stuff available in high temp too? does it hold up?

I've never foudn a plater willing to work with used exhaust pieces. Maybe if they were blasted clean first.

I used to have a chromer (wonder if i still do) but his tanks where super small, could barely get a fender in there. they did door handles for GM, so thier product was small. he FLIPPED OUT when i tried to have him do my exhaust on my old 750... i ended up getting a stock set up, cutting it in 1/2. chemical stripping it and blasting it... then he shot that... something about gettin "all that crap" in his tanks is what he was worried about...

I know it is hard to see... but it was the shield right below the kick stand there...
it was all screwd up from the way the prev owner stored the bike... the pipes where so nice it would have been a shame to wrap them... for just that little part.

theres a company in chicago called Keystone, they do everything collision related- aftermarket panels, wheel repair, aftermarket/reconditioned bumpers...and I'm pretty sure they do chroming as long as it's not pot metal, but chrome comes at a price...just like tattoos, good chroming isn't cheap and cheap chroming isn't good

i guess i'm wondering your intent... if you want a killer exhaust header, there's at least a couple people on here building them with stainless

Oh haha, sorry I kinda forgot about this thread. I am keeping my wrapped headers and I am in the process of getting the MAC mufflers from the parts bike powdercoated in black. It would look a lot better on my bike than shiny chrome...
