I really need something besides my friends Harbor Freight compression gauge. I just don't trust it, esp. after reading the reviews on it. What's out there that will give me accurate readings???
MotionPro. I have one and I was given an HF unit which I gave back. And I have one I bought from Summit racing years ago, and the motion pro is hands down the best of those.
We had one that showed 110 on #1 and by the time we got to #4, it was reading 60psi, so we checked #1 again and it was showing a steady 60 which is what it now shows on all 4 cylinders. Interestingly enough when we stripped it down and applied compressed air to it, the gauge itself seemed to be only 5 or so psi low.
Once it was reassembled with a new valve, it read 60, so something was blocking or restricting the tubes or coupling. For us it was not usable.
