Recommendations for online photo hosting?

Swagger

Putting boot to ass since 1967!
So photobucket no longer speaks the same language as my aging PC.
I dont' really know what the issue is in truth, however after one of microsoft's lovely updates anything I upload does so as "media" and can't be opened by photobucket.

Any ideas?
I have a bunch of project pics that I'd like to post but can't like this...

I think Picasa is the fastest/ best features nowadays.

Edit: So I just checked out Picasa for myself instead of just hearsay and it is faster than photobucket, but not as user friendly when linking pics:

You have to rightclick on the image to go to "view image info," then completely highlight the info in the "location" line and copy it, then come on here and click on the "insert image" button and paste the info.

I tried a couple different ways that didn't work before I figured this out, maybe someone knows how to picasa better?

I have used imageshack for years and it works fine for me, they have upgraded a lot lately and the freebie account gets all sorta good features now. Google's picasa works well too, I just hate it, lol.

Hey Swagger, try to undo the updates. I had a huge problem with images and you tube stuff when adobe updated itself, nothing worked anymore and my whole system froze constantly, I went back to an older version and everything was fine again. See if you can reverse the update and you may be fine again. Not sure if that makes sense but when your PC gets old, you got to stop them from putting the latest versions of drivers and stuff that is designed for newer pc's.

I tried that, went to my oldest restore point and it didn't help.
Ultimately i need a new box, I've been nursing this one along since '02 and it's just too friggin' old at this point. <sigh>.....it's only money

I've been using imageshack for years. I like that it allows you to resize the photos as you load them. Also retrieval is easy. And for me, a computer neandertal easy is the key word.

I like Flickr and Vimeo for HD video. I just took these pics yesterday.

SMUGMUG is owned by a rider, if that matters to you. He is a member on ADVrider. I have had good service by them.
Botophucket, the name says it all. :(

Hmm....4eyes, ya know i wonder....
this old box started really dieing about the time I started using photobucket.
How much crap DO they back load onto a machine?

IMGUR.com, developed by a guy who was sick of all the shitty image hosting sites around, you can do full albums, doesn't require signup or any of that garbage, upload photo and it gives you a link. I'll never use anything else.
