Registering out of state bike in CA

I have a 1969 Honda CB360 and a 1975 CB360t that I need to register. Both have titles from other states.

Anyone have experience with this?

I already did a title transfer on one, but still needs to pass inspection.

Does the frame VIN # need to match up the frame VIN #?

Think I might be way late for this but anyway, if you have titles, just bring them and you should be fine.
If you only have registration, they won't allow it even if the registration is under your own name from another state. I know coz I recently tried to register my bike I brought over to CA from NY. I accidentally forgot my title in NY as I moved in a hurry and I didn't need to pack up all my belongings in NY.

The VIN needs to match paper to frame of course, but not frame to engine. If it doesn't match frame to engine they send you outside to get inspected by an inspector. Once the inspector writes all that info on the form you should be good to go.
