Removing CB350 side cover

Cafebuilder

Its not a Cafe without Clubmans
What the title says. Want to polish it but trying to figure out if I would have to remove the oil before taking off the side cover due to the cap for oil being in the side cover. Any suggestions?

There is clearly a reason why nobody's responded to this one, and I mulled over responding to this for a little while before coming back to it. The urge for sarcasm can be difficult to overcome, but I am going to keep trying.

OK, let me see if I can help. You're wondering if the engine cover that has the cap where you add oil, holds oil? The answer to that question would be yes.

The only reason I posted this was because I wasn't sure if there may be something in between the oil and the side cover or if nothing was blocking it. Sorry for being new. :'(

Ha!

Really though it's a question you could have answered with (a) searching the internet or (b) looking for yourself in less time than it took to type out your question. You have to acknowledge that being pretty funny.

No sarcasm here, but I believe you'll need to take the side cover off anyway to clean out the oil filter. Which reminds me, I need to order new gaskets for my bike since I need to do that as well.

Don't be sorry, and I was hungover and trying to hold back from an easy target. Do it next time you change the oil, and use a new gasket. No malice intended, and you'll look back and laugh too.
