Repairing cut cb550 rear

Hey guys, I picked up a 74 cb550 from craigslist this sunday. The bike runs(on two cylinders), had a title, was cheap, and I've been looking for a few years now. Anyways I like the bike a lot considering most of it is there, however somebody hacked the rear pretty badly in an attempt to fit a fiberglass seat. I personally like the stock seat and fender, and wanted to fix the cuts. I guess my first question would be does anybody have this portion of the frame lying around from a cafe build? If not, what do i need to do to get the seat and fender to look/fit right without this section?
Thanks

Did you get the stock set, fender, etc with the bike? If not, then it would probably be easier to get a hoop welded on there and put a different seat on.

But if you REALLY want to go back to stock then your best bet is looking for a non-titled frame for a donor rear. Chances of someone have those cut off bits cut in the same spot are pretty slim.

I didn't get a seat or fender with the bike, but I can't think of many other options that I like that much. Besides, a taller seat will definitely help my seating position a lot. I didn't really expect someone to have the piece cut in the exact same way either, my plan was to get somebody's piece that had the hump still in tact and fill in the rest to the frame from scrap. And you don't like the fuel gauge? ;D Welding that in will be another afternoon project
