My brake lines are past it and with the clipons the length between the lever and the brake union, with the switch as part of that, now needs to be much shorter.

Has anyone replaced this? Can you run straight from the lever to the caliper? If so, how do yhou replaced the brake switch so you still have brake lights when you apply the lever?

Check out this tutorial, I used it as a reference to update my brake line.

I'd like to do it this way and was thinking of adding the extra disk and GL1000 master cylinder.

Still have the issue with the brake light. doesn't the union have the electrical connectors to that activitate the brake light?

Oh yeah, I knew i forgot something! For your brake light dilemma, you can use a banjo bolt switch, it just replaces the banjo bolt that goes into the MC.

As far as adding another disk.....Maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in here.
