Replacing Bulb with LED - Lucas Style Taillight

I have a "Lucas Style" taillight on my CB cafe and ever since I replaced the speedo/tach lights with LEDs from the seller:

I have been meaning to experiment with LEDs a bit more. I would like to try to swap the taillight bulb (I am assuming 1157 right? for running and brake light) would these guys work?

I got the 1157 bulb from enkmall and was not happy with it in my stock taillight. I haven't bought a new bulb yet since I plan on getting a different taillight.

imho, led's are over rated... ya they are "green" and last a lot longer but evreyone seems to be using very low quality leds. all the ones ive tried didnt have the lumens that the incadescent bulb does. im not saying this goes for all leds, i put a few in my truck for my alarm and they light up the block. but they were also $20 each individual led. i got a led taillight for my cb (ebay) and i could hardly make it out during the day. now it sits in the parts cabinet, and im back to my lucas with a good ole 1157

Have you guys checked out www.superbrightleds.com? They have all kinds of different bulbs and actually give really good specs on all of their products.

however I wonder if those LEDs will be brighter/better quality than those from Hong Kong. They sure are a lot more expensive thats for sure.
