Hey all,
Anyone else out there from Maryland? Couldn't seem to find anyone using the search feature. Anyways, great site. Glad it found me. As for bikes I've got two 81 Kawasaki KZ 650's. One runs pretty well but has some wear and tear, the other has been in a garage for 15+ years and is cosmetically beautiful. Once the weather turns I'll be combining the two into a lean cafe racer. I'm gonna try to keep a build log and post some pictures once it begins cause I'd love to hear some ideas you guys/gals have. Anyone on here transformed a KZ650 or seen one?

Quite a few KZ650s here,welcome aboard! 8)
I have parts for 1 1/2 KZ550LTD and a few of my friends have KZ's(1 KZ650,1 KZ750E,1 KZ750LTD).
The first big bike I rode and put a lot of miles on was a 1981 KZ750LTD with Kerker,pods and jetted(the same one a friend still owns and rides).

I'm Tommy (TeeCat) and I'm just west of Baltimore. I just joined moments ago on a referral from 650rider.com, my regular hangout, and I'll be introducing myself as son as I have some time. Meanwhile, one of my bikes is a '73 Yami TX650 that is slowly becoming a mild cafe roadster.

Good to see another KZ here.
There are some nice kz Cafe on board, including HerrDeacons (sp), Anarki's, Guitargeeks among others.
Try a search for kz650s, kz750 and even some kz400 etc.
