Rhino Liner for Knee Dents?

Hey dudes

So I have this tank that's going to be getting some Knee Dents, an I've been thinking about maybe using truck bed Rhino liner stuff on the knee dents to do a kind of impromptu knee pad thing for a little padding and some grip - what do you think? Do you think it would be okay to paint? How should I work it in terms of what goes on first, paint or liner?

Rino liner is TUFF stuff... i would honestly bring it in... explain to the guy what you want and have them do it, comes in like 35 colors as well... and is cheap to get something lik that done... my buddy is doing the whole lower end of his car, from the window ledges down in rino liner, they are charging him 250 to shoot that whole area! they are even masking and prepping it. ya CHEAP! on that i am going to shoot the car in flat white before taking it in so that it is done after they lay their work on. if you do the cheep stuff out of a can (I use this on my truck every spring) i would paint it first, tape off your area to be shot, scuff with scuff pad, then shoot away... shoudl work jsut as good man! good idea though!

Dude, white knee dents/pads on a royal blue tank? Fugghetaboutit! I'm totally taking it in to get that done - unless they have rhino liner in a can that comes white...

do a search... but honestly.. they guys that are out by me are so good and cheap it is crazy not to jsut have them do it... i have a buddy that had a ratty chop done in all red rino liner... looked awesome! so awesome that it was stolen at bike week 2 years ago... but they did a bang up job!

Man, I was just thinkin' the same thing about a week ago!

A few years ago we painted the floor of our GMC Safari work van with the roll on stuff from Crappy Tire. It went on easy and works great, standing up to normal wear and tear easily! 8)

I might do my whole bike in the stuff!! Tank, side covers, tail, the whole shebang!! I'll let you know if I do. ;D

I use that stuff on high traffic parts, like my shifter, rear brake pedal, kicker lever. But it's not very good stuff when compared to the stuff they do at the shops. It's tougher than spray paint, but the finish and texture isn't on par with what a shop can do either. Eventually it'll wear through and have to be reapplied.
