Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. My brother's just not at all into building, and that's ok. Everybody's got a passion for something, and it doesn't have to be bikes. Hell, put that kid behind OR in front of a camera, any camera, and he will make me look like a 5 year old with down syndrome. He's chasing a film degree, he's a reporter for a local TV station, and has acted and starred in a couple movies. That's where his talent lies. So I don't blame him for not taking an interest in building bikes. He just likes to ride.
We'll probably hunt for a GS500 or something docile/reliable/quasi-sporty along those lines in the near future. I definitely agree that he needs to get riding ASAP, and he wants to...which is good.
