ok, if this thread isn't dead yet, I'd love to address some ill informed shit that's been slung.

for some reason, someone thinks i copy my seats from other seats?????????

first of all, there's a difference between looking at a manx seat, norton factory racer seat, mv agusta race seat, and coming up with something you like that borrows elements from any or all of those, that's not copying, that's how design works.

I never "copy" a part, in that I don't look at someone elses design and try to make my own as close to that as I can, that's bullshit and frankly, I can do my own design work thank you very much.

Also, the issue is that the original problem was that the seller actually just built a mold off one of my seats, he didn't do any sculpting at all.

(p.s. please look up the professional plug building 101 thread I did to fucking educate people on how to actually build a fiberglass model! I'm such an asshole for sharing my knowledge with people in the hobby huh?)

Also, I think it's interesting the original seller was selling his stuff for $80 untrimmed and using a flimsier process, if you apply the DTT discount my roadster sells for about $98, trimmed and using good materials. I think the original flaming should have been at that dude for selling unfinished stuff for ONLY $18 less than my finished work... he was making a bigger markup than I was...

so thanks for the support to those who have my back and want to keep this hobby free and clear of those who try to exploit it for a buck, and screw off to those who sling ill informed bs, may you learn Mandarin so your Chinese overlords will tip you well for their shoeshines

Personally I like docs for riding. But that is the only occasion I wear boots for anymore. It's mostly sandals for me nowadays. If I'm hiking or adventuring I'll wear a pair of the hiking shoe/tennis shoe things.
I wore steel toes just long enough to know why it sucks to wear steel toes and I'm never going back if I can help it!
