They were fast, they were dangerous, they were the coolest bikes ever built.

This is only the beginning:

Tank is about 80% done. I used the bottom of the dented tank that came with it (CB900 F) as my base. I'm not a welder and I only have a MIG, so I have a lot of grinding to do.

I used the gas cap bung from the original tank too.

I appreciate the encouragement fellas. Hope it's not disappointing to know that this will just be my take on a modern boardtracker. Only so much you can do with an 82 CB900.

Brother Ronin I am just starting a boardtrack racer as well and definately agree with you that they are some of the coolest machines ever built! I can not wait to see what all you do with this build! Keep up the hard work!

Thanks Brother. Please, please let me know if you start a build thread. Right now I'm really into the board track racer (BTR). I definitely think it's time for the garage customizer (or pros like you) to take on the challenge of converting a metric to a BTR and I would love to see your version as well as others that are thinking of building this style. Let's start a movement!

My first thought on page one was, wheres the lines? The frame was all wrong for this. But you corrected that with the tank!! Looks great!! can't wait to see this come together!

I'm in the process of moving from Sacramento to Palmdale, CA. So, work is at a standstill. But, I will be back after this weekend. The next major effort will be adjusting the neck. I think it's too tall and doesn't give me the clearance I need for the front wheel. Cheers to all for the positive comments and enjoy your New Years, I will be packing.

Here is the link to mine that you asked for http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=20977.0

I am with you Brother! Boardtrack bikes are where it is at! I thought I was the only one! This one is going to have a pair of 10,000 rpm briggs flatheads, my next one a late 1940's or early 1950's Wisconsin, then I am doing a Honda!

I am doing this CB550F Reverse Port at the same time so check it out too Brother! http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=19961.0 There are several engine photos on the first page.

Enough about my builds, I am excited to find another Boardtrack lover and to follow your progress!
