Round VS Oval Pods

Been Around the Block
So there have been a million discussions for and against pod filters in general. K am curious though if anyone has found any difference good or bad between the oval type pod filters as opposed to the usual round type.

I like the ovals as they tend to provide more surface area and are thus less restrictive

That was kind of my thinking as well. Would they be harder or easier or just the same from a tuning standpoint?

Closer to stock means easier, so they're that. Not an area I have a whole lot of experience in.

Hmmm well we need to get some folks out ofnthe lounge complaining about hipsters and over here chiming in. Lol

it is not rocket science bigger is better
some of those little cone pods are an absolute joke those that sell them and those that use them should have their hands chopped off :-X :-X :-\ ;D

Just the same to around 7,000 rpm, except cheap round pods will be much harder to get right for high rpm as the restriction can lower airflow and cause sudden rich mixture.
I always recommend oval K&N, even though they are more expensive they work better and definitely last longer (I'm still using a pair I got in mid 1980's)

Awesome thats good to know. I was wondering if the overall surface area and more volume would help over regular pods
