Re: "Rust" Honda CB450SC Cafe/Bobber (frist bike build)
thanks maritime & mark (pugeyed).... i didnt need to bore the engine ... and about the pics?? i will keep postin them as i take them... i will start putting the engine back together this weekend.... thanks again ! ! !
engine assembly.... i know it filthy but for now i dont feel like painting it until i start it...
this is my collection of dowel pins.... i thought i lost the original ones (i looked every were 3 times including the drawer were i put them), so i bought 5 on ebay for a good price... and to my surprise the day i started the assembly they materialized out of no ware ! ! ! ! jajajajajaj
yesterday was a great day for my project.... as i was headed to a friends workshop to use his torque wrench to tighten my engine I ran in to my neighbor who offered a while ago to sand blast my frame, but his compresor died... so i just forgot about it and painted my frame over the old paint (see pics above).... he told me he had the compressor running again, so he took the frame and 30 minutes later he called me to go pick the frame.... everybody should have neighbors like mines ! ! ! ! !
i got home already dark, so i couldn't take pics of the frame in bare metal... but I primed it at night and took pics of the frame primed,
I was so exited about how everything turned out... that I painted the frame right after I got home from work
Most excellent! Just noticed your build. I had a mostly complete 400 Hawk minus seat and carbs i got for free. Unfortunatly, sold for a measely 50.00$ last year. One of those ones that I wished I could get back. Looks like things are goin' great keep up the good work.

too bad rays650cafe..... anyways, that will make you appreciate more your next bike... thanks for taking the time to comment... glad you liked the build ! ! !
The next bike was a 81 CB650. Ugly, but runs really good. The pics are after initial cleanup/clubmans install. Iam now chopping the rear frame with new paint and tires. Gonna do up the exhaust. i traded some old ass tools for her an a non-funtional wirefeed welder for it . Maybe 150.00 dollar trade.
heres the propeller ! ! ! its solid bronze.... it came out of a ship that was sold for scrap here in the dominican republic... if you want more info let me know jajajajajaajaj
yesterday when i got home... I felt like working on the bike... Im still waiting for parts on the engine so... I said to my self why not make it a roller... I started late at night... and this is how it ended ! ! ! !
I woke up early in the morning... because if I was going to make ir a roller I had to get everything down the second floor (were my room is) and move to the mess room in the first floor... and this is how the day ended...
this is the first pic... I didnt like the heigth of the front ! ! ! !
I got the forks up... I havent filled them with liquid nor gotten air in them but she still looks very high... but I will wait until the engine is
installed to make the final assessments on the hight.... this is how she looks
finally just for the fun of it, I got the tank and some homemade clubman bars on her... just to see how she looked
what do you think guy ? ? ? ?
Please dont hesitate to give me your advise o criticism, it my first build and Im completely open to hearing from you ! ! ! !
