Ryan's XS750 Cafe Brat - Now with Henry Abe 900cc kit!

Cheer man, thankfully spare engines is not an issue, I have two complete bottom ends, and 3 sets of heads to play with; a 750 standard bore (I assume!) which is seized, an 850 standard (which I don't want to put on because I have to register my bike first), and then the much tidier 750 heads with the 900 overbore. If the DOT realise I've messed with the frame and fiddled the engine they will throw the book at me and make it harder to get on the road!

This week I aim to sell my second car which will free up some space for me to pull apart the other blocks and try and find something workable. I'll also get working on the electrics tray for Sonreir's custom harness and box everything up ready for the powder coater.

Guess I better sign up to follow this one! Building a XS850 right now. Was planning on going bronze on the frame but your comments here are making me a little hesitant now. Progress looks good!

Thanks! Heads are still at the shop being looked at...stupid Christmas closing period! They open again on Monday so I'm going to go down and stir the pot a bit..

Other than that progress has been slow, my second bike is taking up more time than I would like to get running reliably.

Regarding the bronze..maybe talk to your powder coater and see what they think...I don't reckon it would look that bad but decided to play it safer should I ever need to sell.
