S.O.S CB750ss

I'm starting this thread to have u wrench-heads help me through my first cafe build...and I'm overall clueless without my "motorcycle for dummies manual". I'm working with a CB750SS and instead of hours researching for answers...I'm just gonna post and hopefully you crazies will give me easy and great advice instead of making my own mistakes.....so here we go on the DTT members build...

First question: I wanna buy clip-ons but how do I know what size to get (mm) for my 1975/1976 Cb750 super sport? How do I measure fork size or does someone know already?

Man, I'm stoked about your build. It's so good to meet others in your town that are into Cafe's. I haven't ran into anyone yet though. And i feel left out at times.
Regarding your forks diameter, you can use a set of dial calipers to measure them. But I believe yuo need the 35mm ones. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Hey man not to be a nit pick or anything, but Show and shine is normally for finished bikes... if you start a build thread in the big arse projects, you will probably get more feedback.

But great start nonetheless, you should have yourself a sweet bike when you are done!

Hey just so you know the posting isn't incorrect, just i think you might get more traffic on the other thread as that is where lots of people will go to offer advice... also any time you have a question, post in the 1-800 cafe help... there are a few guys who regularly check that and are really helpful... PJ is a good example of this, pretty much anything motor related and he's go you covered, and Joe is great with questions about paint and powder coating. Like I said not trying to bust your balls, I just want you to get the most out of your DTT experience!

Looks like a little clear coat on the tank, a small race seat, cool exhaust, a set of clipons, and removing and cutting on your fenders and it will be complete. Should take a couple of days.......

Search the forums for 'fork size'. Someone posted a huge list with just about any bike you would want to find. Also, you can buy, borrow, or rent maybe a Micrometer.
